Allow me to introduce myself…

I'm Kylie, a wearer of many hats in the realm of coaching, human resources, authorship, speaking engagements, and facilitation.

Feel lost, invisible and judged? Don’t believe in what you are doing in life is making a difference?

Once upon a time, that used to be me. I now empower others to make bold, courageous decisions so they can transform into unstoppable superstars!

Imposter syndrome, feelings of not being good enough, the fear of failure, the fear of success and becoming comfortable with being visible were all hurdles I had to jump over. I now have tools I share with others experiencing the same emotions.

My life motto

Be the change you want to see

I worked out change is one sure thing in life. I love change nowadays. It opens up so many opportunities. I know from experience it can be pretty overwhelming at times. I had to make a choice to either keep resisting it or embrace it and use it to my advantage so I could continue to achieve my version of success without burning out or feeling exhausted.

Be curious and experiment

Curiosity allows me to have an open mind, embrace change, promote diversity and inclusiveness, be creative and see what is possible! With a curious mindset, you can think outside the square, challenge yourself and chase your dreams. Nothing stays the same so why not experiment. If it doesn’t work, try something else!

Have courage to connect

Connection and courage are my superpowers! It was how I went from being lonely to feeling like I belonged. Ask for help. Collaborate with colleagues. Join a new fitness group. Keep in contact with friends and family. Be part of a network of like-minded people. All of these ideas involves having the courage to step out, be visible and create connection.

Who is Kylie?

Let's shift gears from the serious side for a moment.

If I were to describe what I do, it would be akin to sprinkling fairy dust all across the globe and empowering people to pursue their wildest dreams. I specialise in helping people unlock their true potential, ignite their imagination, explore the endless possibilities and ultimately become the superstar they need in their own life.

Whether you're at the helm of a thriving business, a CEO spearheading a company, or someone carving out a magnificent career in your zone of genius, we all have the capacity to dream big and achieve incredible feats.

With over 20 years of experience in the ever-evolving world of HR, I started in industrial relations, then ventured into work health and safety, before embracing the role of an HR generalist leader.

Driven by an unwavering passion for helping others, I expanded my skills into executive coaching, elevating my purpose to new heights.

Together this led me to open two businesses: Kylie James Coaching in 2021 and RUBY HR - People and Culture Consultants in 2023.

My life motto using my values of curiosity, connection, change and courage are infused in every aspect of my work.

I'm an inquisitive soul, known for asking thought-provoking questions. I love engaging with people from all walks of life, fostering meaningful connections.

When faced with uncertainty, I boldly take steps into the unknown, undeterred by fear's occasional presence. Sure, fear may occasionally slow me down, but I will eventually step bravely into the arena as Brené Brown encourages us all to do.
